40CUIN got: new billet style mirrors with amber LEDS on the front side for marker and turn lights from J.C. Whitney, a tailBlazer light bulb from Kisan technologies (flashes at a decreasing rate until it comes on solid), and will have an old Wixom fairing installed shortly. Still looking for 3.25" white LED lites to use for running lamps in the fairing, but may put the air horns out through the hole. Figure with LEDs the alternator can still charge the battery with all of them on.
On a not related topic, this months (Jan-Feb) of Road Bike magazine has an excellent article on jet slide carburetor operation by Mark Zimmerman. If you want to understand your carburetor better, just remember ours have a vacuum diaphram that pulls up the slide, not the twist of the wrist. Prevents too much carburetion when suddenly opening the throttle.
